Sparkford Selworthy House Residents Association Introduction

This is first draft of a blog for residents of Sparkford and Selworthy Houses.  The blog is created by the residents for the residents so that we may share information concerning our residence.

As many of you may know we have recently formed a residents association to allow us a collective voice when communicating with the council.  We have an ability to bid for funds for small projects such as bicycle racks and lobby refurbishment.

It is hoped that the creation of this blog will allow residents the opportunity to keep up with developments and share ideas, problems and experiences of living in Sparkford and Selworthy Houses.

  1. Great idea. Well done for putting the time in.

  2. Feeling a bit lonely in this community site. It's been going a year and there are still only three members, two of which are me.

  3. Hi! My name is Silvia, I have just move with my husband to Selworthy house.
I am really interested in this blog since I need to know a few things about how this community works (Bike racks, drying rooms, extra keys...)
    Thanks!

  4. Presumably lots of residents have been told (like me) to replace their front doors, and possibly an interior door too, with fire resistant doors. Is anybody else finding it difficult to find a skilled tradesman to do this? If not, who have you found and can you share contacts? The firms I've contacted have either been too small and suspiciously clueless about fire regulations, or too big, located in Stockton or Hampshire, and only interested in office block-sized projects.
Another thing: why is there no sign (in Selworthy House at least, which I've checked) that anyone else is replacing their door? It's curious, but there are no new doors in the block and none being fitted. Any thoughts on this curious fact?
